We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team at adidas. As a key member of our Sales Development Business Analytics team, you will play a critical role in driving fact-based decisions and supporting our Central Senior Management and Sales Teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for assigned Key-Account Sales Teams, providing analytical insights and recommendations to drive sales growth.
- Proactively monitor and report on sales data, including Sell-In and Sell-Out metrics, to identify trends and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain innovative reporting tools to create a holistic understanding of our business within the organization.
- Present business developments to sales teams internally and customers externally, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform sales strategies and drive business growth.
- Support cross-functional projects, such as forecasting, budgeting, and trade terms, to ensure alignment and success.
- Train Account Managers in using standardized reporting tools, such as Microstrategy and Power BI, to enhance their analytical capabilities.
People Management:
- Lead and manage direct reports as an integrated team, setting targets, goals, and guiding principles to drive high performance.
- Create a high-performance culture and manage the career and succession planning of key talents.
- Develop direct reports' core functional and interpersonal competencies through regular coaching and mentoring.
- Provide leadership based on the Leadership Framework and Brand Values, ensuring alignment with adidas' vision and mission.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Deep understanding of numbers and excellent analytical skills
- Comfort with Sales/Product Data and very good understanding of sales KPIs
- Data-driven mindset and attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Good understanding of operational processes
- Open-minded, with excellent interpersonal skills and team-player
- Ability to manage time effectively and work on multiple tasks simultaneously
- Very good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Power BI is advantageous
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Fluent in both English and German, both written and spoken
Requisite Education and Experience/Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree in business administration (bachelor/master)
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sales, or marketing or finance/controlling
Experience/interests: sports, sales, marketing in the clothing/fashion/footwear or FMCG industry.
