Product Development Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Manager to join our team at Adidas. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for managing the product development process from seasonal kick off to commercialization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand consumer and market requirements and translate them into apparel development, construction, and testing requirements.
- Manage the creation process, agreeing alignment sessions and handovers in line with the seasonal calendar.
- Communicate development information to Marketing, Design, Suppliers, and LO/OC to ensure the effective and efficient creation of outstanding products.
- Ensure target price and product designs are aligned through predictive costing and review, validate, and approve T1 costing information throughout the creation process.
- Manage handovers from design to T1, ensuring all information provided is complete, and manage T1 feedback to design and marketing, incorporating improvements where possible.
- Evaluate prototypes for compliance with AD, manage fit approval/size specification, approval of color, accessories, and materials, and manage comments to T1.
- Ensure all materials and accessories, as well as prototypes, are tested and adhere to Adidas quality, safety, and A01 standards, and manage quality exceptions with senior management as needed.
- Review size sets for accuracy of measurements and merchantability of complete size ranges, including logo placement and fit, and review and sign off sealing samples with complete AD, including all related documents, prior to buy-ready dates.
- Research innovation from market or supply chain, working cross-functionally with BOPS teams, aIT, Sourcing, and T1/T2 to implement into product creation.
Requirements:
- College or university degree in clothing technology and/or manufacturing or comparable education.
- Minimum 2-3 years of work experience in the garment/textile industry in a development/creation/production-focused role.
