Our diverse team, known as Invianers, collaborates across five countries: Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary. We operate several portals, including ab in den urlaub, among others.

We are seeking a seasoned software developer with a strong background in Go and e-commerce to join Invia Group as a Senior Go Software Engineer (m/f/d). In this role, you will establish technical standards and best practices for our Go-based systems, work with teams across multiple countries to create innovative solutions, and mentor less experienced developers.

Your tasks
  • Define and disseminate standards and best practices for the Go programming language across the organization.
  • Monitor compliance with security guidelines, coding best practices, and other relevant standards.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Train and mentor junior and mid-level developers to enhance their understanding of Go.
  • Engage in solving complex technical challenges through programming and technical guidance.
  • Collaborate with other teams to gather requirements and develop technical solutions that align with business objectives.
Your profile
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 8 years of experience in software development with a focus on Go.
  • In-depth knowledge of Go language specifications and experience in developing and maintaining complex backend systems.
  • Proven track record in defining coding standards, security guidelines, and best practices for Go.
  • Strong skills in conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback.
  • Experience in training and mentoring developers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to tackle complex technical challenges.
  • Team-oriented with effective communication skills for collaboration with other teams.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently, including in an agile environment.
