Position Summary

We are seeking a seasoned software engineer with expertise in Go and a keen interest in e-commerce. As a Staff Software Engineer specializing in Go, you will establish technical benchmarks and best practices for our Go-centric systems. You will work collaboratively with teams across different countries to create innovative solutions and provide mentorship to less experienced developers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and disseminate standards and best practices for the Go programming language across the organization.
  • Oversee adherence to security protocols, coding standards, and other essential guidelines.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews, offering constructive feedback to enhance team performance.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers, fostering their growth in Go.
  • Engage in resolving complex technical challenges through programming and technical guidance.
  • Collaborate with various teams to comprehend requirements and devise technical solutions that align with business goals.

Candidate Profile

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 8 years of software development experience, with a strong focus on Go.
  • In-depth knowledge of Go language specifications and experience in developing and maintaining intricate backend systems.
  • Proven track record in establishing coding standards, security protocols, and best practices for Go.
  • Exceptional skills in conducting code reviews and providing valuable feedback.
  • Experience in mentoring developers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex technical issues.
  • A collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills for effective teamwork.
  • Self-driven and capable of working independently, particularly in an agile environment.
