Team Overview

The Lending Operations division is an integral part of the dynamic Operations department, overseeing all aspects of loan management at Raisin Bank. This includes responsibilities in fronting, factoring, and refactoring, as well as managing the lifecycle of receivables through purchase, return, or resale. The team is tasked with verifying collateral, designing loan templates, acquiring credit assessments, and generating comprehensive reports.

As the prospective Head of Lending Operations, you will assume both technical and personnel leadership of the team, leveraging your managerial skills to drive optimal performance, streamline processes, and foster team development. Your primary focus will be on nurturing team cohesion, enhancing employee growth, and pursuing continuous process improvements.

With your expertise in the credit industry, you will facilitate effective onboarding procedures for new partners and products. Your strong communication skills will be essential in liaising with partners in the fronting and factoring sectors, as well as engaging with auditors from both internal and external bodies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a growing team of 8 professionals.
  • Act as the primary contact for the Lending Operations team in both professional and disciplinary matters.
  • Enhance process flows, automation, and IT solutions for your team.
  • Report directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and collaborate closely with the Head of Lending and the Head of Credit Risk Management & Governance.
  • Encourage transparent communication and foster a culture of trust.
  • Develop efficient onboarding processes for new partners in collaboration with other departments, ensuring thorough process documentation.
  • Contribute actively to the launch of new products.
Candidate Profile
  • Completed higher education.
  • Several years of experience in the banking or finance sector, preferably in back-office roles related to credit.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements governing credit processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience in employee management.
  • Proficient in IT and adept at using MS Office applications.
  • Analytical mindset with a solid grasp of numerical data.
  • Team-oriented, adaptable, and an effective communicator.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken German, with good English proficiency.
