ABOUT THE ROLE

The European Industrial Sales Division is dedicated to fostering collaborative and strategic long-term alliances with clients, enabling them to fully leverage the capabilities of our solutions. Our mission is to establish ourselves as the leading provider of products and services for our European clientele, engaging at the executive level to focus on vision-setting and value-driven business outcomes. Engagement & Collaboration The Strategic Client Executive's core duties encompass identifying, qualifying, and securing new business opportunities with both existing and prospective telecommunications clients in Germany. Furthermore, the Executive offers a unique perspective during client interactions, utilizing all available resources to address client challenges with suitable solutions, while being accountable for enhancing revenue through software licensing and customer success initiatives, including consulting, enablement, and educational services. Key Responsibilities Client and Account Management Revenue Goals - Meet or surpass established sales targets. Executive Access - Capability to engage with C-level executives, including Wind River Executive Sponsors. Sales Planning - Formulate effective and tailored account strategies to ensure revenue achievement and sustainable growth. Cultivate relationships within new and existing clients to drive strategic initiatives throughout the organization. Political Insight - Ability to navigate the client's power dynamics and identify internal and external influencers. Trusted Consultant - Build robust relationships with management and C-level stakeholders based on a deep understanding of client needs and a commitment to delivering value (including advisory expertise, solution benefits, and implementation proficiency). Establish a foundation for future business opportunities and accurate account insights. Client Insight - Proactively comprehend each client's technological landscape, growth ambitions, technology strategy, and competitive environment. Analyze public information (e.g., executive changes, financial reports, press announcements) to stay informed on key industry trends and challenges affecting prospects. Territory and Account Leadership - Oversee assigned territory, including account relationships, prospect profiling, and sales processes. Strategic Planning - Create and present a comprehensive business strategy to address client priorities and challenges. Utilize benchmarking and ROI metrics to facilitate the client's decision-making process. Demand Generation, Pipeline, and Opportunity Management Pipeline Management - Employ a structured approach to maintain an active sales pipeline. Ensure the pipeline is up-to-date and advance the sales cycle. Collaborative Partnerships - Leverage support teams, including marketing, inside sales, and partners, to enhance the pipeline within the designated territory. Utilize Our Solutions - Be knowledgeable about and effectively present all our offerings during sales engagements, including VxWorks, Wind River Linux, Simics, and Wind River Studio. Drive and Close Sales Opportunities - Achieve success through the effective implementation of the sales strategy and roadmap. Support all promotional activities and events within the territory. ABOUT YOU Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess over 7 years of sales experience with a proven track record in quota-bearing roles, preferably within Product Management and/or Engineering sectors. Experience in embedded software sales and the OEM market is advantageous. Proven success utilizing a consultative, solution-oriented sales methodology in a collaborative team environment. Demonstrated ability to sell solutions to both new and existing clients. Strong skills in prospecting and business development. Exceptional listening, presentation, and public speaking abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational capabilities. Experience with relevant tools is a plus. Self-driven individual capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team. Ability to manage a designated area and introduce customized client solutions to propel sales. Outstanding communication skills with a personable approach to problem-solving. Capacity to perform under pressure while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
