Position Overview

Imperial Brands PLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Researcher to become an integral part of our Sensory and Consumer Science Team. This role is pivotal in conducting consumer research initiatives aimed at uncovering critical insights into consumer preferences, behaviors, and experiences.

Your main responsibility will involve analyzing consumer perceptions, preferences, and decision-making processes concerning our product offerings. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders will be essential to enhance product development, innovation, and marketing strategies driven by consumer insights.

This position presents a remarkable opportunity to influence our global operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary sensory contact for both internal and external stakeholders across designated product categories, overseeing specific cross-category projects.
  • Facilitate the transfer of knowledge and consultancy regarding suitable sensory methodologies to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives and managing budgets effectively.
  • Act as a liaison between consumer perceptions and client requirements (Marketing, Manufacturing) from a sensory market viewpoint.
  • Provide training and methodology transfer to agencies for conducting standardized sensory research.
  • Initiate, implement, review, and optimize innovative consumer research tools and methodologies in close collaboration with the research manager.
  • Oversee the design and execution of sensory research for both qualitative and quantitative consumer studies, including leading research efforts in dedicated consumer facilities.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven expertise in sensory product and market research, with a strong understanding of the interaction between products and consumers.
  • Proficiency in both German and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of statistical analysis and market research methodologies, along with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and statistical software (SAS/SPSS, XLStat).
  • Exceptional analytical thinking and project management capabilities.
  • Strong teamwork and prioritization skills.
  • A curious, adaptable, and organized approach to work, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
