Role Overview
The Esports division is crucial in conceptualizing and executing outstanding esports offerings for our community. Your leadership will be vital in shaping exceptional experiences that resonate with users and elevate the esports landscape.
As the Head of the Talent Management department within the esports production team, you will guide a skilled team in curating the finest talent line-ups for our productions. Your responsibilities will encompass managing the entire hiring process, from initial requests from internal stakeholders to negotiating contracts and overseeing invoicing and reporting post-event.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategically planning Talent Management resources by identifying, developing, and nurturing skilled players and personnel;
- Leading the personnel management of the Talent Management department;
- Overseeing the recruitment of talent for all global productions;
- Coordinating talent for marketing and commercial initiatives;
- Negotiating significant talent hires and managing negotiations for smaller broadcast talent;
- Establishing and maintaining a long-term vision for talent, including deals and contractual frameworks;
- Designing and managing talent development programs;
- Facilitating the business unit process for Talent Management and supporting project creation;
- Conducting strategic meetings with Product, Commercial, and Marketing teams to align on talent strategies;
- Building a comprehensive global talent database to enhance alignment across various products;
- Collaborating with Finance to establish processes for talent payment cycles;
Qualifications
- In-depth understanding of the talent landscape and operations;
- Established connections with key talent and agencies across multiple esports sectors;
- Proven ability to manage and optimize substantial budgets;
- High availability to support talent before, during, and after events;
- Ability to respond to and resolve issues swiftly and effectively with your team;
- Meticulous tracking of issues and generating reports for stakeholders;
- Basic knowledge of talent contracting;
- Exceptional communication skills;
- Capacity to maintain composure and professionalism;
- Willingness to work unconventional hours and travel as needed;
- Flexibility to undertake additional tasks as required within this role;
Please note that this position focuses on the development and management of esports players and teams, distinct from HR or recruitment functions.
