Health and Safety Specialist Germany

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Expert to join our team in Germany. As a key member of our Health and Safety department, you will be responsible for managing and leading risk awareness, health and safety operational excellence, and behavioral changes across our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective health and safety strategies to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular site visits, audits, and inspections to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Design and deliver training programs, workshops, and coaching sessions to enhance health and safety awareness and skills among employees.
- Prepare and present regular situation updates, analysis, and recommendations to senior management.
- Collaborate with business divisions to define priorities and solutions for health and safety initiatives.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of KPIs for health and safety performance.
- Ensure the sharing of relevant REX with the Health and Safety community and management, as necessary.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, physics, chemistry, or a related field.
- Master's degree in Health and Safety from a leading school is a significant asset.
- Experience in safety, behavioral psychology, operational risks, and lean manufacturing.
- Field and result-oriented with excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and active listening skills.
- Ability to navigate IT tools and motivate people to change their behavior.
- Proven experience in a similar role with strong facilitation skills and experience in delivering H&S training sessions, coaching.
- Fluency in German and English, with additional languages considered a plus.
- You will join a team of approximately 10 Health and Safety Experts operating in different countries.
- Your focus will be on our sites located in Germany.
- You will report to our Head of Health and Safety.
- Up to 90% business trips required.
