Health and Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at ArcelorMittal. As a key member of our Health and Safety department, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence and ensuring a safe working environment for our employees.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Risk Management: Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Drive Operational Excellence: Collaborate with site leaders to drive operational excellence and improve overall performance.
- Conduct Audits and Inspections: Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Provide Training and Coaching: Design and deliver training programs to enhance employee knowledge and skills in health and safety.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present regular reports to management on health and safety performance and provide data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with site leaders, employees, and external partners to ensure effective communication and collaboration on health and safety initiatives.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, physics, or chemistry.
- Experience: Proven experience in health and safety, risk management, or operational excellence.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to motivate employees to adopt safe behaviors.
- Language: Fluency in German and English, with additional languages considered an asset.
You will join a team of approximately 10 Health and Safety Experts operating in different countries, with a focus on our sites located in Germany. You will report to our Head of Health and Safety and be required to undertake up to 90% business travel.
