Hatch is seeking a highly motivated Senior Health and Safety Advisor to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) in Essen, Germany.
About the RoleThis is a key position that will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, clients, and contractors. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and optimizing our safety management system, as well as conducting incident investigations and providing training and development opportunities for our staff.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and maintain our safety management system, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Conduct incident investigations and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and deliver training programs to ensure staff are aware of and understand their health and safety responsibilities.
- Collaborate with our project teams to ensure health and safety is integrated into all aspects of our work.
- Provide guidance and support to our staff on health and safety matters.
- Significant experience in health and safety, with a minimum of 3 years at a senior level.
- Professional experience as an H&S manager in a heavy industrial construction or office setting.
- Completed technical studies or comparable technical college training.
- Qualification as an occupational safety specialist or safety engineer.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a self-directed environment.
- A dynamic and supportive work environment.
