Logistics Shift Supervisor

ID Logistics is seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Supervisor to lead our team at our newest logistics center in Hamburg.

As a key member of our operations, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our warehouse. Your responsibilities will encompass planning, coordinating, and overseeing all aspects of daily operations within your assigned shift.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective work processes to optimize productivity and efficiency.
  • Create and manage schedules for incoming trucks, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
  • Monitor truck movements, complete necessary administrative tasks, and maintain accurate records.
  • Coordinate resources effectively to meet operational demands and ensure seamless workflow.
  • Conduct quality checks on goods received and dispatched, upholding high standards of accuracy and integrity.
  • Provide support and guidance to the team during peak periods or staffing shortages, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Oversee internal processes, ensuring compliance with established procedures and protocols.
  • Manage and organize pallets efficiently, maintaining a well-structured and organized warehouse space.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, addressing concerns, resolving issues promptly, and fostering open communication.
  • Handle key management responsibilities, including opening and closing the warehouse securely.
Your Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of a training program in logistics or a related field.
  • Proven experience in logistics operations and team leadership roles.
  • A highly organized and structured approach to work, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in German (written and spoken) and good English language skills (written and spoken).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and responsibly, taking initiative and ownership of tasks.
  • A reliable work ethic and a hands-on mentality, committed to delivering high-quality results.
