Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Risk and Compliance Lawyer to join our team remotely. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compliance Policy Management
    • Oversee and manage company-wide compliance policies, ensuring they are up-to-date and in line with relevant legal standards.
  • Compliance Program Development
    • Develop and implement robust compliance programs, and enhance existing processes to support business growth.
  • Compliance Risk Assessment
    • Identify and assess potential compliance risks, providing practical legal advice on risk mitigation strategies.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest regulatory developments in Germany and globally, ensuring that the company remains compliant with all applicable laws.
  • Internal Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to compliance policies across the organization, including the delivery of compliance training programs and implementing corrective actions where necessary.

Required Skills and Experience

  • You have a degree in law, business law, or a comparable qualification related to compliance management.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing compliance programs and processes, particularly in Germany or related to German laws and regulations.
  • Several years of professional experience in compliance risk management within a company, law firm, or regulatory authority is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of compliance and relevant legal areas, including corporate governance, data protection, and regulatory law.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teams across different departments.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken German and English is essential.
