Role Overview: We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to collaborate with engineering and product teams to critically assess and enhance our routing experience. This position involves utilizing extensive data from millions of daily route requests and actual driving behaviors to identify optimization opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead impactful projects aimed at innovating solutions for optimal routing experiences.
  • Analyze ride data to understand driver challenges, prioritize feature requests, and develop a strategic roadmap aligned with business objectives.
  • Utilize data analytics frameworks to uncover growth and efficiency opportunities.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, marketers, designers, and operators to translate data insights into actionable decisions and experiments.
  • Create analytical models to monitor product and business performance.
  • Establish key performance indicators that reflect product health, business success, and customer satisfaction.
  • Mentor and inspire team members in a dynamic work environment.
  • Develop tools and dashboards to enhance visibility across teams.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in statistics, economics, applied mathematics, operations research, or engineering (advanced degrees preferred) or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in data science, analytics, or management consulting.
  • Proficient in SQL and Python.
  • Hands-on experience with big data processing and tools such as Apache Airflow and Spark.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Preferred: Experience in navigation systems or mapping technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in an international setting with diverse engineering teams.
