About the RoleWe are seeking a highly committed individual with leadership experience to join our team as Head of Product Data Management in Engineering. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for the end-to-end product data management process.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement efficient data management processes to ensure smooth data flow and consistency.
- Qualify and control data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Provide tool expertise in Team Center for Engineering in Rolling Stock.
- Work with internal and external partners to identify synergy and optimization potentials using Lean and Agile working methods.
- Lead the engineering department with employees in Erlangen and Krefeld, as well as European locations, on product data management topics.
- Represent the interests of stakeholders in engineering and ensure process and method requirements in IT projects.
- Master's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or industrial engineering.
- Many years of professional experience in engineering or complex product development.
- Familiarity with interfaces between IT, development, and production.
- Knowledge and experience in PLM tools and processes, ideally in Teamcenter.
- Initial experience as a disciplinary manager and ability to inspire and encourage employees.
- Business fluency in English and ideally in German.
