Role Overview
The Reliability, Maintenance, and Engineering (RME) team at Amazon is looking for a Technical Infrastructure Program Manager with a focus on HVAC Design and Commissioning, including Building Management Systems (BMS) and associated components.

Key Responsibilities
This role involves initiating and managing multiple programs and projects, utilizing effective time management skills to drive complex activities across various business units. The Technical Infrastructure Program Manager will:

  • Develop and manage programs aimed at implementing sustainable HVAC and mechanical system solutions.
  • Independently deliver program objectives while making necessary connections to the right resources.
  • Oversee capital projects related to BMS, from initial scoping through to construction and commissioning.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of complex projects.
  • Identify and implement improvements in HVAC systems to enhance energy efficiency and performance.
  • Provide technical leadership in HVAC system design, installation, operation, and maintenance.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, manage resources, and maintain project timelines and budgets.
  • Develop training programs to enhance team knowledge and skills.
  • Monitor and report on HVAC system performance and efficiency.
  • Stay informed about the latest sustainable technologies and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Review engineering designs and perform system inspections for quality and compliance.
  • Support the development of maintenance strategies for both new and existing equipment.
  • Participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) to address complex issues.
  • Conduct hazard evaluations and risk assessments in accordance with safety regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for asset reliability.
  • Analyze operational data to identify areas for enhancement.
  • Lead discussions to address technical concerns and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Be prepared for travel as required.

Qualifications
Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a relevant technical field.
  • Experience in operations and reliability maintenance within manufacturing or commercial environments.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC design, construction, or maintenance.
  • Familiarity with mechanical systems, including various HVAC equipment.
  • Understanding of thermodynamics and fluid dynamics as they relate to HVAC applications.
  • Experience with HVAC load calculations and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in a supervisory or project management role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineering (PE) License or relevant certifications.
  • Experience with HVAC monitoring software.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and tight deadlines.
