**About the Role**
As an Airport Duty Manager at Flughafen München GmbH, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of air traffic at Munich Airport. This position offers you the opportunity to demonstrate your operational experience and expertise in a dynamic environment and make a significant contribution to the airport's success.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Intervene and make decisions in emergencies or irregular situations to ensure flight safety.
- Organize and monitor operations on the airside, including runways and air traffic facilities, to ensure compliance with EASA-VO [EU] 2018/1139 regulations.
- Coordinate winter maintenance activities, assess runway conditions, and monitor flight operation restrictions to ensure safe and smooth activities on the airside.
- Analyze and evaluate factors influencing airport operations such as weather conditions, bird strike prevention, wildlife management, infrastructure conditions, and obstacle clearance.
- Be responsible for the closure, restriction, and release of operational resources, particularly construction and maintenance work on the airside, to ensure operational stability.
- Conduct air traffic control checks on aircraft and pilots on behalf of the local aviation authority to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
**Requirements**
- Hold a degree in aviation with several years of operational experience in airport operations in a qualified and managerial role.
- Familiarity with air traffic processes, operational procedures, and regulations of an international airport. Solid knowledge in Meteorology, aircraft technology, and navigation.
- Strong team player with reliable and independent work ethic. Motivated and assertive in task completion.
- Proficient in both German and English for daily communication. Skilled in MS Office and quick to learn IT applications.
- Willing and physically fit for shift work, possession of a driver's license Class B. Ability to obtain AZF or BZF1 radio operator's license.
- Willingness to wear uniform, undergo mandatory background checks.
