Automotive Safety Data Specialist

- Develop and standardize analytical processes for intricate, text-heavy datasets that encompass information regarding product quality challenges in the marketplace.
- Serve as the European representative for a new IT platform designed to maintain recommendations, analyses, and supporting data for managing both inactive and active safety-related defect inquiries.
- Examine and analyze internal data sources (such as accident reports, government complaints, warranty claims, and technical service bulletins) to detect emerging vehicle safety issues.
- Investigate external data sources (including vehicle owner complaints, competitor recalls, and government investigations) to identify new trends related to vehicle safety.
- Conduct comprehensive analyses to support the formulation of recommendations for initiating vehicle safety investigations on emerging issues, knowledge discovery, and proactive forecasting.
- Facilitate communication between the Data Review Committee and the Technical Review Committee regarding ongoing proposals.
- Stay informed about new safety-related matters and industry trends, advising leadership on best practices and potential risks.
- Continuously innovate methods for trend analysis and problem-solving, drawing from best practices and innovations observed in competitors or other sectors.
- Collaborate closely with various departments (including finance, engineering, legal, and customer affairs) to address data integrity and delivery issues or propose innovative enhancements.
- Present findings to the Data Review Board.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
- At least 5 years of experience in Quality or Safety within the Automotive sector.
- General knowledge of automotive systems (e.g., body, chassis, brakes, electrical, safety systems).
- Strong ability to self-verify and ensure precision when analyzing large volumes of data and understanding intricate details.
- Capability to independently assess how various factors and trends may influence business decisions.
- Proficiency in utilizing IT systems for in-depth analysis, including statistical quality assessments of extensive data sets.
- Ability to effectively communicate with and manage stakeholders.
- Enthusiasm for working in a dynamic, multicultural, and results-driven environment.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
- Fluency in English.
