Automotive Safety Data Specialist

- Develop and implement standardized processes for trend analysis of intricate, text-heavy datasets related to product quality concerns in the marketplace.
- Serve as the primary European contact for a new IT platform designed to retain recommendations, analyses, and supporting data for managing safety-related defect investigations.
- Evaluate and analyze internal data sources (such as accident reports, warranty claims, and technical service bulletins) to detect emerging vehicle safety issues.
- Investigate external data sources (including competitor recalls and government investigations) to identify potential vehicle safety concerns.
- Conduct in-depth analyses to support recommendations for initiating vehicle safety investigations on emerging issues, knowledge discovery, and proactive forecasting.
- Facilitate communication between the Data Review Committee and the Technical Review Committee regarding ongoing proposals.
- Keep abreast of new safety-related developments and trends in the industry, advising leadership on best practices and potential risks.
- Continuously innovate methods for trend analysis and problem-solving by leveraging best practices and innovations from competitors and other sectors.
- Collaborate closely with various departments (such as finance, engineering, and legal) to address data integrity issues and propose innovative enhancements.
- Present findings to the Data Review Board.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
- At least 5 years of experience in Quality or Safety within the Automotive sector.
- Comprehensive knowledge of automotive systems (e.g., body, chassis, brakes, electrical, safety systems).
- Strong ability to self-verify and ensure precision when analyzing large volumes of data and understanding intricate details.
- Independent judgment skills to assess how various factors and trends influence business decisions.
- Proficiency in utilizing IT systems for detailed analysis, including statistical quality assessments of extensive data sets.
- Effective presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Enthusiasm for working in a dynamic, multicultural, and results-driven environment.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities.
- Fluency in English.
