RISK MANAGEMENT
The Risk Management division plays a pivotal role in overseeing, assessing, and mitigating both anticipated and unforeseen events that may adversely affect the organization. Professionals in this field are tasked with critical daily risk oversight responsibilities, managing projects, and continuously enhancing a robust risk management framework. Effective collaboration with senior leadership, various business units, control functions, and technology is essential for achieving optimal outcomes.

CREDIT RISK MANAGEMENT
The Credit Risk team is responsible for managing the organization's credit exposure to trading and lending partners. Experts in this area protect the firm's capital by leveraging their proficiency in financial analysis of clients, markets, and products to inform risk-related decisions.   • Evaluate the creditworthiness and financial stability of corporate borrowers and counterparties through thorough credit analysis utilizing both quantitative and qualitative metrics.
  • Examine lending and underwriting transactions, assess risk tolerance and regulatory ratings, and form independent assessments of cash flow forecasts and essential document protections.
  • Conduct regular sector analyses to monitor portfolio concentrations and emerging trends.
  • Work alongside Investment Banking/Financing teams, Sales & Trading, Legal, Operations, and Compliance to authorize derivatives transactions, ensuring proper documentation, limits, and risk management practices to mitigate counterparty default risks and minimize potential losses.
  • Assess the inherent risks associated with the products the organization engages with, including lending, trading, and derivatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with various departments within the firm, such as Global Banking & Markets, Asset & Wealth Management, Controllers, Treasury, Legal, Compliance, and Technology.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in credit risk management, with a focus on corporate credit risk preferred.
  • In-depth experience with investment banking products, including loans and derivatives.
  • Proven ability to make independent decisions and effectively manage client and business negotiations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of regulatory rating standards and their application.
  • Strong skills in documentation (loans and/or derivatives), analysis, presentation, and communication.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a diverse deal team, providing mentorship and oversight to junior members.
  • Effective communication skills at senior management levels.
