In the role of Sales Development Manager (m/f/d), you will be an integral part of our Sales Team. Your primary focus will be on managing business clients within the tourism sector, particularly tourism destinations, providing them with expert advice in areas such as destination development and marketing. Together, we aim to advance the digital transformation of outdoor tourism, creating unforgettable and sustainable outdoor experiences for all.

Your New Role at Outdooractive
  • You will be responsible for acquiring and managing clients from the tourism industry in Germany, assisting them in achieving their objectives through our network, technology, and your expertise.
  • You will lead the enhancement of our digital B2B sales strategy. Collaborating with a dynamic and youthful team, you will contribute to scaling our business model, ensuring the long-term success of the organization.
  • Your focus will be on developing, implementing, and optimizing strategic inside sales processes, as well as maintaining and effectively utilizing our CRM system to enhance lead management.
  • You will create customer profiles, categorize them into segments, derive tailored communication strategies, and oversee the execution of these initiatives.
  • You will conduct success analyses of communication strategies, identifying opportunities for proactive customer engagement and lead management, including automated email campaigns.
  • You will be involved in managing master data, invoicing, and tracking as well as reporting on communication initiatives.
What Outdooractive Expects from You
  • A completed degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Tourism Management, or a related field.
  • Initial experience with digital Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and a solid understanding of data-driven sales.
  • A strategic and goal-oriented approach, with the ability to devise solutions for complex challenges.
  • Familiarity with modern communication methods, with prior experience in email marketing being advantageous.
  • Basic knowledge of contract management, invoicing, and accounting, with a responsible approach to these areas.
  • A strong commitment to performance and a willingness to invest your energy in the team's success.
  • Analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a talent for inspiring others.
  • A deep passion for outdoor sports and innovative technologies.
  • Proficient communication skills in both German and English.
