Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a colleague (m/w/d) for on-site IT support at a customer location, preferably with 2nd or 3rd level support experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide in-depth and detailed support to users in the area of desktop PCs, products, and services, mostly during regular working hours, occasionally in shifts and on call.
- Conduct in-depth IT problem diagnosis and treatment regarding complex issues.
- Communicate with external service providers for non-directly solvable IT tickets.
- Independently monitor the service status, e.g., the time to resolve a ticket.
- Automate and improve IT support processes.
- Install and uninstall hardware and software using existing installation tools.
- Act as a liaison between users and the service desk, as well as external suppliers.
- Perform hardware and software tests using existing test and diagnostic tools, correct or forward as necessary, and document.
- Document current hardware and software for updating the configuration management.
- Provide technical guidance to colleagues in 2nd level support (for level 3).
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years (level 2)/4 years (level 3) of proven, substantial experience in professional IT support in large companies is desired.
- Experience with common operating systems.
- Experience with common applications, e.g., MS-Office, Oracle, etc.
- Knowledge of ticket systems.
- Network knowledge (connection of PCs and other network devices, e.g., printers).
- Zertifikate like OEM, CompTIA, MCITP, MOS are of advantage.
- Knowledge of older Windows operating systems is of advantage.
- Good German and English skills.
- Driver's license class B.
