Position Summary:
The IT Operations Analyst will serve as a key resource for desktop support, addressing issues related to computer hardware, software, and peripherals. This role acts as a secondary escalation point for resolving desktop or laptop incidents, service requests, and connectivity challenges. The position reports to the IT Manager for the EUR East & North region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct second-line investigation and diagnosis of issues.
- Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
- Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks to ensure optimal performance.
- Respond promptly to service requests and issues.
- Provide technical support across the organization, either in person or remotely.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents effectively.
- Manage IT assets efficiently.
- Coordinate with external vendors for hardware repairs.
- Conduct site visits as necessary and travel when required.
- Collaborate closely with the Security Operations team on IT security matters and virus mitigation efforts.
- Understand IT pricing, processes, and procedures thoroughly.
- Adhere to established IT standards and protocols.
- Participate actively in regular team meetings as scheduled by the Service Delivery Manager.
- Maintain a professional working environment.
- Comply with SLB's Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) and IT security policies.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a field related to Information Technology (or relevant technical training and experience in management may be considered).
- A strong desire to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with complex technical projects.
- Eligibility to work in the specified region.
Technical Skills Required:
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft PC applications.
- Extensive experience in PC hardware and software support.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving PC-related incidents.
Preferred Skills:
- Exceptional customer service abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Fluency in both German and English.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
- Capability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to perform under pressure and communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
- Experience in an IT Service Desk environment is advantageous.
- Skill in writing technical support documentation is a plus.
Certifications:
- Preferred certifications include MCP on Windows and Dell certifications.
