About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Key Account Manager to join our team at McBride, a leading international manufacturer of private label household and professional cleaning/hygiene products. As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with our key customers, driving commercial growth and delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commercial Leadership: Develop and execute commercial strategies to drive volume, NSV, and CGP growth for our key customers.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer contacts, ensuring alignment with our business priorities and objectives.
  • Product Mix Optimization: Continuously evaluate and optimize customer product mixes to drive improved profitability and maximize contribution.
  • Cost Management: Manage product cost prices to maximize contribution, including the implementation of cost increases when required.
  • Joint Business Planning: Develop and manage customer joint business plans, ensuring alignment with business priorities and objectives.
  • Distribution and Fixture Management: Secure optimal distribution levels and fixture space for all supplied products, focusing on the biggest and most profitable SKUs.
  • Customer Pricing Queries: Effectively manage and resolve customer pricing queries to ensure a healthy balance sheet and minimize financial losses.
  • Forecast Accuracy: Ensure forecast accuracy is in line with account targets, working collaboratively with the demand planner to implement necessary changes.
  • Customer Expertise: Be the customer expert within McBride, championing the accounts strategy and ensuring effective communication throughout the organization.
  • Annual Customer Account Planning: Lead the construction and communication of the annual customer account plan, ensuring accurate reflection of customer requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Promote continual improvement of processes with the account team to deliver operational excellence within the commercial environment.
  • End-to-End Supply Chain Projects: Lead and deliver customer end-to-end supply chain projects to release maximum value.
  • Collaborative Projects: Initiate and lead collaborative, value-add customer-specific projects, utilizing resources from across the business to maximize results.
Requirements
  • Graduate Calibre: Minimum graduate calibre, with a high level of numeracy and literacy.
  • Commercial Experience: Minimum 4 years' experience in a commercial role, with account management experience with national/international retailers.
  • Supply Chain Knowledge: Solid understanding of company and customer supply chains, with basic to intermediate experience of SAP and intermediate to advanced experience of Microsoft Office.
  • Desirable Skills: Experience of working with value brand products, experience of working with or in manufacturing, supply chain, marketing, or purchasing, and retailer ways of working and systems knowledge.
