Senior Application Scientist

Position Overview:

As a Senior Application Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in driving sustainable and profitable growth within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and analyze new product and application needs within the industry to guide future development initiatives.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends and technological advancements, proactively initiating discussions and proposing innovative project ideas.
  • Lead and support large-scale, cross-functional application development projects, particularly in the area of battery technologies.
  • Provide in-depth technical expertise to the global Customer Service Organization (CSO) team.
  • Deliver product and application training to customers, agents, distributors, and internal teams as required.
  • Collaborate closely with your immediate team and various departments across the organization.
  • Maintain and update technical documentation, including technical notes and innovative findings for patent applications and publications.

Qualifications:

  • A master's degree or preferably a PhD in a relevant technical discipline, such as Chemical Engineering, Electrochemistry, or Chemistry.
  • 5-10 years of professional experience in polymer synthesis or application development, particularly in battery or adhesive applications.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in the battery sector is essential.
  • Strong understanding of intellectual property (IP) and IP strategy.
  • Demonstrated personal initiative and capability in technology and business analysis.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead and facilitate cross-functional projects.
  • Proficient in managing relationships with diverse stakeholders, including upper management, on a strategic level.
  • Ability to propose and define project scopes and manage uncertainties and expectations effectively.
  • A results-oriented mindset with a strong external focus.
  • Highly developed communication skills, capable of presenting ideas internally and externally.
