Application Scientist

As Application scientist, you:

will contributes to profitable and sustainable business growth by identifying new product & application requirements in the industry to set new developmental directions. will keep abreast of the latest trend on new developmental and technological changes in the industry, pro-actively initiate discussion and enter project ideas. will lead and support large, potentially cross functional (application) development projects including battery applications will supports global CSO team with in-depth technical knowledge will provide product & application training to customers, agents, distributors, and internal colleagues on request work closely together with your direct T&S team colleagues and with many colleagues from different functions in the organization updates & maintains technical documentation by technical notes and document innovative key findings in patent applications and publications

To accomplish this role, you possess:

a master’s degree or preferably PhD in a technical field, like Chemical Engineering, Electrochemistry or Chemistry. minimum of 5-10 years’ working experience in polymer synthesis, or application development, as e.g., battery or adhesive applications fluency in English (in written and verbal form). working experience in the battery field profound knowledge in IP and IP strategy. personal initiative as well as technology and business analysis required. Excellent team player with good communication and problem-solving skills leadership skills to manage and facilitate cross functional projects the ability to manage the relation with a large variety of (groups of) stakeholders, also in upper management, on strategic level and the ability to manage opposite interests. own initiative to propose projects and programs (define the scope and plan of projects and programs and manage uncertainties and expectations). a result and value-driven mindset with strong external focus. highly developed communication skills and ability to present internally as well as externally
