About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Controller to join our team at aam it GmbH. As a Project Controller, you will play a crucial role in the financial management and oversight of project development in the execution phase.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the financial management, consulting, and monitoring of project development in the execution phase.
  • Estimate project costs/budgets based on defined work packages for the maintenance of the running calculation.
  • Verify demand requirements against the budget, which falls within your scope of responsibilities.
  • Develop controlling data based on cost calculation and actual costs (SAP).
  • Take evaluations based on additional key figures such as completion rates (e.g., Earned Value Analysis) and be responsible for progress controlling based on work packages.
  • Monitor deviations between target and actual values and develop corrective measures.
  • Also, plan and control sales/ result/cash flow figures as well as cost curves.
  • You will work on concepts for cost reduction and create risk assessments.
  • You will prepare the content for management reports, decision-making documents, and meetings.
  • You will represent the department vis-à-vis internal and external clients regarding budgets and costs.
Requirements
  • You hold a completed degree in business economics or engineering with a business economics additional qualification.
  • Good English skills and a secure and proficient handling of common MS Office applications and SAP, especially the CO/FI modules, are expected.
  • Self-initiative, a high level of conceptual and entrepreneurial thinking and acting, as well as communication strength, independent working style, and assertiveness are important for this position.
  • Naturally, you enjoy working in a team and bring negotiation skills.
  • You can demonstrate fundamental professional experience in project controlling and calculation (preferably in the plant engineering, shipbuilding, or in a project organization with a matrix structure). Generally, you have a very good understanding of numbers.
