Director of Search Engine Optimization

The SEO division is accountable for the effectiveness in organic search engine rankings across all regions that ABOUT YOU operates in. This necessitates close cooperation with various teams within the organization, including shop development, content production, and performance marketing. As a part of the Marketing Intelligence and Technology unit, we emphasize data and technology, utilizing data to formulate hypotheses and construct our business cases. Our goal is to implement scalable solutions that can be applied across all platforms and gather data points to assess their efficiency, promoting ongoing learning and enhancement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all SEO initiatives across 25+ countries and 3 platforms (desktop web, mobile web, and app)
  • Establish, track, and communicate vital KPIs to ensure clarity in SEO performance
  • Lead the development of internal SEO tools and data repositories utilizing Google BigQuery
  • Craft the SEO strategy in alignment with business goals and supervise its implementation
  • Manage the SEO team, nurturing a culture of openness, continuous improvement, and team well-being
  • Build connections within the organization to prioritize SEO in ongoing processes
  • Collaborate with the online shop team to integrate SEO features
  • Stay informed on the latest SEO trends and adjust strategies as needed

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in an SEO leadership position, ideally within large-scale ecommerce
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and a sense of ownership
  • Excellent communication skills to lead SEO initiatives across various stakeholders
  • Ability to develop, mentor, and guide team members
  • Capable of challenging and enhancing existing processes and workflows
  • Skilled in translating complex strategies into actionable tasks
  • Strong analytical abilities for data-driven decision-making
  • Expertise in technical SEO principles
  • Proficient in SEO tools and the English language
