Search Engine Developer – Fullstack Role

- Develop and sustain the global search functionality of the Statista platform for both clients and internal stakeholders.
- Produce high-quality, idiomatic code in Rust and Typescript to implement new features.
- Identify and resolve issues while engaging with upstream communities in a public manner.
- Collaborate with skilled engineers, including specialists from various disciplines.
- Proven experience in operating and managing search and analytics engines such as Elasticsearch and OpenSearch.
- Proficiency in programming languages including Rust, PHP, Typescript, and NodeJS.
- Familiarity with Docker, Git (Version Control System), Postman, PostgreSQL, and Key-Value Databases, particularly DynamoDB.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services, especially Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, EventBridge, SQS, and SNS.
- Enthusiasm for learning new technologies.
- A collaborative mindset with a proactive and constructive attitude.
