Your Role

As a Finance Intern (d/f/m), you will play a vital role within our compact Finance Team, which comprises our Head of Finance, Jeroen, our Accountant, Julia, and our Finance Manager, Jessie. In this position, you will collaborate closely with each team member, acquiring valuable knowledge across a broad spectrum of financial subjects. This opportunity will significantly enhance your growth as a versatile finance professional.

What will you be responsible for?

  • Accounting Tasks: With your meticulous attention to detail and enthusiasm for numbers, you will assist us in all daily accounting operations. Whether it involves accounts payable or receivable, you will ensure a systematic and efficient accounting framework at LIQID. Exciting future initiatives await you, complementing your dynamic personality. You will be guided by an experienced team, with Jeroen, our Head of Finance, as your supervisor.
  • Invoicing & Coordination: We are eager to support you as you embark on your journey into the expansive realm of finance, enhancing your learning experience. Whether it involves invoicing, preparing bank transfers, or overseeing incoming and outgoing payments, you will work alongside your team to manage our daily operations effectively. Additionally, you will assist in liaising with our tax advisor. You will have the opportunity to create, read, and write reports for both our management and external stakeholders, such as shareholders or auditors.
  • Strategic Projects: You will actively contribute your insights, analyze new business models, and propose initiatives, thereby aiding in the progressive development of our department. Numerous exciting projects await you, including the implementation of a new forecasting/budgeting tool, transitioning to a new tax advisor, optimizing our accounting software NetSuite, and much more.
What you bring
  • Educational Background: You are a currently enrolled student, having completed at least the first two years of your Bachelor's program, ideally in a business-related field with a focus on finance, accounting, or controlling.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Your passion for financial matters is unwavering, and it is advantageous if you have already acquired some initial work experience, such as internships in finance, banking, or consulting. Are your PowerPoint presentations impressive? Can you effortlessly create pivot tables? Excellent You can communicate fluently in English, and proficiency in German is a plus but not mandatory. Most importantly, you excel at simplifying complex financial concepts for non-financial colleagues.
  • Mindset: Numbers do not intimidate you; instead, you thrive in this environment, working meticulously and systematically with a keen eye for detail. You are not hesitant to share your ideas, ask questions, and work autonomously. Given that we handle highly confidential information daily, you demonstrate the utmost integrity and sound judgment regarding what information can be widely shared.
