Your Role

As a Finance Intern (d/f/m), you will play a vital role within our compact Finance Team, which comprises our Head of Finance, Jeroen, our Accountant, Julia, and our Finance Manager, Jessie. This position will allow you to collaborate closely with each team member, gaining invaluable insights across various financial domains. This experience will greatly enhance your growth as a comprehensive finance professional.

What will you be responsible for?

  • Accounting Tasks: With your meticulous attention to detail and enthusiasm for numbers, you will assist us in all daily financial operations. Whether handling accounts payable or receivable, you will ensure a systematic and efficient accounting framework at LIQID. Exciting upcoming projects await you, aligning with your dynamic personality. You will be guided by an experienced team, with Jeroen, our Head of Finance, as your supervisor.
  • Invoicing & Coordination: We are eager to support you as you embark on your journey into the expansive world of finance, contributing to your steep learning curve. Tasks such as invoicing, preparing bank transfers, and monitoring incoming and outgoing payments will be part of your daily responsibilities. Additionally, you will assist in coordinating with our tax advisor and will have the opportunity to create and analyze reports for management and external stakeholders.
  • Strategic Projects: You will actively share your ideas, analyze new business models, and think creatively about initiatives, thereby aiding in the progressive development of our department. Numerous exciting projects are currently available, including the implementation of a new forecasting/budgeting tool, transitioning to a new tax advisor, and optimizing our accounting software.
What You Bring
  • Educational Background: You are a current student, having completed at least the first two years of your Bachelor's program, preferably in a business-related field with a focus on finance, accounting, or controlling.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Your passion for financial topics is unwavering, and it would be advantageous if you have already acquired some initial work experience through internships in finance, banking, or consulting. Your proficiency in creating PowerPoint presentations and building pivot tables is commendable. You are fluent in English, and while proficiency in German is a plus, it is not mandatory. Most importantly, you excel at simplifying complex financial concepts for colleagues without a finance background.
  • Mindset: Numbers are your forte. You thrive in this environment, working with precision, structure, and a keen eye for detail. You are not hesitant to proactively share your ideas, ask questions, and work autonomously. Given the sensitive nature of our work, you demonstrate the utmost integrity and sound judgment regarding the dissemination of confidential information.
