Your Role

As a Finance Intern (d/f/m), you will play a crucial role within our compact Finance Team, which comprises our Head of Finance, Jeroen, our Accountant, Julia, and our Finance Manager, Jessie. This position offers you the opportunity to collaborate closely with each team member, gaining invaluable insights across a broad spectrum of financial disciplines. This experience will significantly enhance your development as a versatile finance professional.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounting Operations: With your meticulous attention to detail and enthusiasm for numbers, you will assist in all daily financial operations. Whether managing accounts payable or receivable, you will ensure a systematic and efficient accounting framework at LIQID. Exciting future initiatives await you, complementing your dynamic personality. You will be guided by an experienced team, with Jeroen, our Head of Finance, as your supervisor.
  • Invoicing & Coordination: We are eager to support you as you embark on your journey into the expansive realm of finance, enhancing your learning curve. Whether it involves invoicing, preparing bank transfers, or overseeing incoming and outgoing payments, you will collaborate with your team to streamline our daily operations. Additionally, you will assist in coordinating with our tax advisor and will have the opportunity to create, analyze, and present reports for management and external stakeholders, including shareholders and auditors.
  • Strategic Projects: You will actively contribute your insights, evaluate new business models, and propose initiatives that foster the growth of our department. Numerous exciting projects await you, such as implementing a new forecasting and budgeting tool, transitioning to a new tax advisor, optimizing our accounting software NetSuite, and much more.
Qualifications:
  • Educational Background: You are a currently enrolled student, having completed at least the first two years of your Bachelor's program, preferably in a business-related field with a focus on finance, accounting, or controlling.
  • Skills and Experience: Your passion for financial matters is unwavering, and it would be advantageous if you have acquired some initial work experience, such as internships in finance, banking, or consulting. Your PowerPoint presentations are impressive, and you can effortlessly create pivot tables. Proficiency in English is essential, and knowledge of German is a plus. Above all, you excel at simplifying complex financial concepts for non-financial colleagues.
  • Mindset: You are not intimidated by numbers; instead, you thrive in this environment, working meticulously and demonstrating strong attention to detail. You are proactive in sharing your ideas, asking questions, and working independently. Given the sensitive nature of the information we handle, you exhibit the utmost integrity and sound judgment regarding the dissemination of information.
