Job Title: Senior Medical Advisor

Department: Medical

Reports to: Group Medical Director

Role Summary:

The Medical division is dedicated to delivering expert medical insights and scientific expertise for various initiatives and projects. This team also provides guidance to clients and agency members, ensuring top-tier service in scientific communication, medical documentation, and healthcare marketing.

The Senior Medical Advisor serves as a Consultant, primarily accountable for the timely and professional execution of all requested services, maintaining a high standard of scientific integrity and healthcare marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quickly familiarize with diverse medical specialties (e.g., cardiology, immunology, oncology, neurology)
  • Monitor healthcare policies, market dynamics, and competitors from a medical-scientific viewpoint, identifying emerging trends and developments
  • Summarize clinical research findings effectively
  • Prepare materials for the approval process and reference purposes
  • Translate complex medical content into marketing-friendly communication strategies
  • Brief project teams on essential content
  • Manage daily operations efficiently
  • Maintain relationships with external medical professionals and client-side medical teams, with a willingness to travel occasionally
  • Independently develop and create medical-scientific materials (both print and digital) in collaboration with the Group Medical Director, including sales and scientific materials
  • Serve as a knowledgeable contact for clients regarding specialized inquiries
  • Collaborate on and present customer presentations, participating in client meetings
  • Potentially facilitate expert group discussions (e.g., advisory boards)
  • Capture and summarize content from medical conferences
  • Work with the team on pitch presentations
  • Support the growth and enhancement of an internal medical network
  • Provide training and development for team members

Education and Experience:

  • Completed scientific or medical studies (biology, biochemistry, immunology, genetics), preferably with a doctorate
  • A minimum of 4-6 years of experience as a medical consultant, ideally within a healthcare marketing agency or Medical Education setting

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in German
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confident interaction with clients
  • Excellent organizational skills and reliability in meeting deadlines
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Ability to work with scientific accuracy
  • Strong presentation abilities
  • Familiarity with Veeva PM reference program is a plus
