Key Responsibilities:

The Medical Affairs team is dedicated to delivering expert medical insights and scientific support for various initiatives and projects. This team also provides guidance to clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring that all services are executed with a high standard of scientific integrity and healthcare marketing expertise.

The Senior Medical Advisor serves as a key Consultant, responsible for guaranteeing that all requested services are performed with professionalism and timeliness, underpinned by a robust scientific foundation and marketing acumen.

Specific Duties:

  • Quickly acclimate to new therapeutic areas (e.g., cardiology, immunology, oncology, neurology)
  • Analyze healthcare policies, market dynamics, and competitive landscape from a medical-scientific viewpoint, identifying emerging trends and advancements
  • Summarize clinical research findings effectively
  • Prepare reference materials and facilitate the approval process
  • Transform medical content into marketing-friendly communication strategies
  • Brief project teams on essential content
  • Manage daily operations efficiently
  • Maintain relationships with external medical professionals and client-side medical teams, with a willingness to travel occasionally
  • Independently conceptualize and develop materials (both print and digital) based on medical-scientific principles in collaboration with the Group Medical Director, including sales materials and scientific presentations
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for clients on specialized inquiries
  • Collaborate on customer presentations and participate in client meetings
  • Potentially facilitate expert group discussions (e.g., advisory boards)
  • Capture and summarize content from conferences
  • Work with the team on pitch presentations
  • Assist in the growth and development of an internal medical network
  • Provide training and development opportunities for team members

Qualifications:

  • Completed scientific studies (biology, biochemistry, immunology, genetics) or medical education, preferably with a doctorate
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience as a medical consultant, ideally within a healthcare marketing agency or Medical Education setting

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in German
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confident engagement with clients
  • Excellent organizational skills and reliability in meeting deadlines
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Ability to work with scientific accuracy
  • Strong presentation abilities
  • Familiarity with Veeva PM reference software is a plus
