Role Summary:

The Medical Affairs team is dedicated to delivering expert medical insights and scientific expertise to support various initiatives and projects. This team plays a crucial role in advising both clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring that all activities are aligned with the highest standards of scientific integrity and healthcare marketing.

The Senior Medical Advisor serves as a key Consultant, responsible for the timely and professional execution of all requested services, backed by a robust scientific foundation and marketing acumen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quickly acclimate to new therapeutic areas (e.g., cardiology, immunology, oncology, neurology)
  • Monitor healthcare policies, market dynamics, and competitive landscape from a medical-scientific viewpoint, identifying emerging trends and developments
  • Summarize clinical research findings effectively
  • Prepare reference materials and facilitate the approval process
  • Translate complex medical content into compelling marketing narratives
  • Brief project teams on essential content requirements
  • Manage daily operational tasks
  • Maintain relationships with external medical professionals and client-side medical teams, with occasional travel as needed
  • Independently conceptualize and create medical-scientific materials (both print and digital) in collaboration with the Group Medical Director, including sales and scientific materials
  • Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for clients on specialized topics
  • Collaborate on and present customer-facing presentations, participate in client meetings
  • Potentially facilitate expert group discussions (e.g., advisory boards)
  • Capture and summarize content from medical conferences
  • Work with the team on pitch presentations
  • Support the growth and development of an internal medical network
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a scientific discipline (biology, biochemistry, immunology, genetics) or medicine, preferably with a doctorate
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience as a medical consultant, ideally within a healthcare marketing agency or in Medical Education

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in German
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Professional demeanor and effective interaction with clients
  • Strong organizational skills and reliability in meeting deadlines
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Ability to work with scientific accuracy
  • Strong presentation capabilities
  • Familiarity with Veeva PM is a plus
