Role Summary:
The Medical team is dedicated to delivering expert medical insights and scientific knowledge to support various initiatives and projects. This team also provides guidance to clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring the highest standards of service in scientific communication, medical writing, and healthcare marketing.
The Senior Medical Advisor serves as a key Consultant, responsible for executing all requested services with professionalism and scientific rigor, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to healthcare marketing standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quickly acclimate to new medical fields and specialties (e.g., cardiology, immunology, oncology, neurology).
- Analyze healthcare policies, market dynamics, and competitor activities from a medical-scientific viewpoint, identifying emerging trends.
- Summarize and interpret clinical research findings.
- Prepare reference materials and facilitate the approval process.
- Transform medical content into marketing-focused communication strategies.
- Provide briefings to project management and creative teams on essential content.
- Manage daily operations effectively.
- Maintain relationships with external medical professionals and client-side medical teams, with a willingness to travel as needed.
- Independently conceptualize and create medical-scientific materials (both print and digital) in collaboration with the Group Medical Director, including sales and scientific materials.
- Serve as a knowledgeable contact for clients regarding specialized inquiries.
- Collaborate on customer presentations and participate in client meetings.
- Potentially facilitate expert group discussions (e.g., advisory boards).
- Capture and summarize content from conferences.
- Work with the team on pitch presentations.
- Support the development and enhancement of an internal medical network.
- Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
Qualifications:
- Completed scientific studies (biology, biochemistry, immunology, genetics) or medical education, preferably with a doctorate.
- A minimum of 4-6 years of experience as a medical consultant, ideally within a healthcare marketing agency or in Medical Education.
Required Skills:
- Proficient in German.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Strong interpersonal skills and confident engagement with clients.
- Excellent organizational skills and reliability in meeting deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Ability to work with scientific accuracy.
- Strong presentation capabilities.
- Familiarity with Veeva PM reference programs is a plus.
