Airbus Defence & Space is seeking a Ground Segment Systems Engineer (d/f/m) to contribute to the System Delivery Germany team. This department is dedicated to the development of satellite communication systems catering to both civil and military clientele.
Role Responsibilities:As a Ground Segment Systems Engineer, your role will encompass:
- Conceptualizing, designing, and developing Ground Segment extensions and modifications for SATCOMBw and EDRS systems.
- Overseeing the procurement process from the Request for Proposal (RFP) stage through to the final acceptance of ground segment components.
- Supporting the implementation of ground segment items until they are operational.
- Acting as the technical point-of-contact during the operational phase, addressing any anomalies and facilitating their resolution.

- Developing verification and validation concepts at the ground system level and assisting with relevant testing.

- A Master's degree in Microwave, Telecommunications, Electronics, or a related engineering field.
- In-depth knowledge of ground segment engineering, including technical interfaces and data flow.
- Strong understanding of communication engineering principles, including RF link budgets and antenna design.
- Experience with software-based systems, networks, and IT infrastructure.
- Background in Ground Station engineering and associated operational procedures.
- Fluency in both English and German.
