Data Insights Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity for a Data Analytics Expert to become a vital part of SYNCREON's Data and Analytics Team. In this role, you will take charge of crafting, developing, and sustaining efficient data pipelines and systems while enhancing comprehensive data solutions, with a strong emphasis on Databricks, machine learning, and data modeling. This position allows for remote work within Germany, with occasional travel requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Logistics Division and SYNCREON's regional operations to instigate advancements within Group Technology.
  • Engage primarily with Operations Excellence and coordinate with various departments including Operations, Finance, HR, Sales, and Procurement as necessary.
  • Assist leadership in evaluating performance metrics for your Business Unit.
  • Partner closely with the senior IT shared services leadership team (Applications, Governance, Transformation, Backoffice) to ensure cohesive collaboration and alignment on solutions and services.
  • Work in tandem with Group Technology Head Office to implement strategic initiatives.
  • Foster strong relationships with procurement and finance to uphold SYNCREON's policies and procedures.
  • Support Group Compliance, Group People, and Legal in adhering to SYNCREON's policies and legal obligations within the business region.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with key IT and business leaders to guarantee top-tier IT service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on Databricks and machine learning.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python or Scala (Pyspark preferred).
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and libraries.
  • Strong grasp of data modeling principles and best practices.
  • Practical experience with cloud platforms (Azure).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Databricks Associate Certification is required.
  • Experience with big data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark).
  • Knowledge of MS Azure Analytics Services, particularly Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and MS Purview.
  • Familiarity with Power BI is preferred.
  • Understanding of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
