Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities of a Technical Product Owner

  • Leverage data to pinpoint lucrative opportunities and introduce new products and features that align with the global roadmap and the demands of the recruitment marketing sector.
  • Collaborate closely with the product management team to analyze data, craft detailed and actionable product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Convert product features into comprehensive technical specifications that software engineers can implement.
  • Partner with technical leads and software engineers to define and document technical requirements and directions.
  • Establish measurable, actionable KPIs to enhance adoption and user engagement.
  • Conduct usability testing, data analytics, and gather user insights.
  • Organize and maintain the product backlog for incremental releases, driving acceptance testing.
  • Lead and engage in all agile ceremonies.
  • Sustain a refined and evolving product backlog that fosters both immediate iterative improvements and long-term innovation.
  • Coordinate with other product owners/managers to identify integration points across the product suite while ensuring coherence in products and releases.
  • Document product capabilities, project progress, and release notes.
  • Deliver iterations, present features, and advocate for the product.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a Product Owner in an Agile environment, preferably within the SaaS product domain.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and tools such as SQL.
  • Familiarity with data analytics, visualization, and monitoring systems like Tableau, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Experience working with geographically distributed development teams; analytical and data-driven, capable of distilling complex workflows and systems into clear processes and decisions with cross-team implications.
  • Experience conducting end-user interviews, leading requirements gathering sessions, and performing User Acceptance Testing.
  • Proven ability to identify product opportunities, bridge feature gaps, gather requirements, write user stories, analyze data, and manage change effectively.
  • A successful track record of product launches, demonstrating the ability to oversee the entire product lifecycle from conception through global rollout.
  • A naturally curious and inquisitive mindset, with a strong desire to learn and master industry knowledge or product management skills.
  • Experience with JIRA or Rally is essential.
  • Prior experience as a software engineer or technical lead is a significant advantage.
