Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities of a Technical Product Owner:
- Leverage data to pinpoint lucrative opportunities and initiate new products and features that align with the global roadmap and the demands of the recruitment marketing sector.
- Collaborate closely with the product management team to analyze data, draft detailed and actionable product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Convert product features into comprehensive technical specifications suitable for implementation by software engineers.
- Partner with technical leads and software engineers to establish and document technical requirements and direction.
- Define measurable and actionable KPIs to enhance adoption and user engagement.
- Conduct usability assessments, data analytics, and gather user insights.
- Organize, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog into incremental releases while overseeing acceptance testing.
- Lead and participate in all agile ceremonies.
- Sustain a refined and evolving product backlog that fosters both immediate iterative improvements and long-term innovation.
- Coordinate with other product owners/managers to identify integration points across the product suite while ensuring coherence in product offerings and releases.
- Document product capabilities, project advancements, and release notes.
- Deliver iterations, present features, and advocate for the product.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a Product Owner in an Agile environment, preferably within the SaaS product domain.
- Proficiency in data analysis and tools such as SQL.
- Familiarity with data analytics, visualization, and monitoring systems like Tableau, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience working with geographically distributed development teams; analytical and data-driven, capable of distilling complex workflows and systems into clear processes and decisions with cross-team implications.
- Experience conducting end-user interviews, leading requirements gathering sessions, and performing User Acceptance Testing.
- Proven ability to identify product opportunities, bridge feature gaps, gather requirements, write user stories, analyze data, assess processes, implement testing, and manage change.
- Track record of successful product launches and demonstrated capability to oversee the entire product lifecycle from initial concept and market exploration to support and global rollout.
- Naturally curious and inquisitive, with a relentless desire to learn and master industry knowledge or product management skills.
- Experience with JIRA or Rally is required.
- Prior experience as a software engineer or technical lead is a significant advantage.
