Invitation for Applications: PNB Research Group for Postdoctoral Positions

Overview:
The Postdoc Network Brandenburg (PNB) is extending an invitation to accomplished national and international postdoctoral researchers, specifically from the fields of Life Sciences, Natural Sciences, and Engineering Sciences, to apply for a research group opportunity commencing in 2025. We encourage proposals that exhibit an interdisciplinary approach.
Funding Details:
Successful candidates will receive funding of up to EUR per annum for a maximum duration of four years. This funding is aimed at facilitating the career advancement of one postdoctoral researcher towards becoming a principal investigator (PI) of an independent research group at one of the participating universities in Brandenburg.
Funding Package Includes:
- Group leader position (TV-L E14) for four years
- Scientific staff, with a maximum of three positions (TV-L E13)
- Budget for materials, travel, and investments
Applicants must specify the university they are applying to and detail how their research will integrate with existing academic and teaching activities at the chosen institution. A comprehensive research plan outlining the proposed scientific project and its feasibility is essential.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess:
- A Ph.D. degree with a minimum of two years of postdoctoral research experience
- An outstanding academic record with highly regarded peer-reviewed publications
- Proven experience in securing research funding

About PNB:
Founded in 2018 by four Brandenburg universities, the PNB aims to maximize the potential of postdoctoral researchers within the state's scientific institutions. The Berlin-Brandenburg metropolitan area, known for its high concentration of universities and research institutions, offers a vibrant environment for research collaboration and networking opportunities.
The PNB Research Group funding line allows national and international scientists to dedicate four years entirely to their proposed research projects, with the necessary financial framework to hire the scientific staff essential for project success. Additionally, fellows will have access to professional training and coaching to enhance their individual and professional skills.
