Postdoctoral Research Opportunity in Real-time GNSS Positioning

The Helmholtz Centre Potsdam is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher in our Real-time GNSS team. This role is dedicated to advancing research in multi-GNSS Precise Point Positioning (PPP), focusing on constellations such as GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou, and QZSS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in innovative research on real-time high-precision GNSS positioning techniques, including PPP-RTK and multi-GNSS integration.
  • Evaluate regional GNSS networks in real-time to support geohazard monitoring initiatives.
  • Develop advanced GNSS analysis software using C++ for RT-PPP applications.
  • Collaborate with global research partners to apply GNSS data in geoscientific studies.
  • Disseminate research findings through presentations at conferences and publications in academic journals.

Required Qualifications:

  • PhD in geodesy or a closely related discipline.
  • Proven experience in GNSS data processing, including PPP and RTK methodologies.
  • Strong foundation in linear algebra, estimation theory, and adjustment theory.
  • Proficiency in scientific programming languages such as C++, MATLAB, and Python.
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems is advantageous.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
  • Adeptness in working within an international and interdisciplinary research environment.
