Postdoctoral Research Opportunity in Real-time GNSS

The Helmholtz Centre Potsdam is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join our esteemed "Real-time GNSS" team. This role focuses on advancing research in multi-GNSS Precise Point Positioning (PPP), particularly concerning the GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou, and QZSS satellite systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in innovative research on real-time high-precision GNSS positioning techniques, including PPP-RTK and multi-GNSS integration.
  • Perform real-time analysis of regional GNSS networks aimed at geohazard monitoring.
  • Develop and enhance GNSS analysis software, specifically RT-PPP using C++.
  • Collaborate with global partner institutions to apply GNSS data in geoscientific research.
  • Disseminate research findings through conference presentations and journal publications.

Required Qualifications:

  • PhD in geodesy or a closely related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in GNSS data processing, particularly in PPP and RTK methodologies.
  • Strong foundation in linear algebra, estimation theory, and adjustment theory.
  • Proficiency in scientific programming languages such as C++, MATLAB, and Python.
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems is advantageous.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
  • Adeptness in working within an international and interdisciplinary team environment.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability.
