The Postdoc Network Brandenburg (PNB) is pleased to announce an opportunity for accomplished postdoctoral researchers to join our esteemed research group. We are seeking applications from individuals with a strong background in the Life Sciences, Natural Sciences, and Engineering Sciences as recognized by the DFG (German Research Foundation).

Funding Overview:

Successful candidates will receive funding for a period of four years, aimed at supporting their career progression towards becoming a principal investigator (PI) leading an independent research group. This funding encompasses:

  • Group leader position (TV-L E14) for four years
  • Scientific staff support, with a maximum of three positions (TV-L E13)
  • Funding for materials, travel, and other necessary investments

Applicants are required to specify their preferred university and detail how their research will integrate with existing academic and teaching initiatives at that institution. A comprehensive research plan outlining the proposed project and its feasibility is essential.

Candidate Requirements:

To be considered, applicants must possess:

  • A Ph.D. degree
  • A minimum of two years of postdoctoral research experience
  • An exemplary academic record with publications in high-ranking peer-reviewed journals
  • Experience in securing research funding

We are particularly interested in highly motivated researchers who demonstrate a strong publication history, scientific mobility, and a competitive, innovative research proposal that aligns with the research profile of the host university.

About PNB:

Founded in 2018, the PNB aims to maximize the potential of postdoctoral researchers within Brandenburg's scientific institutions. The region boasts a high concentration of universities and research facilities, offering a diverse array of research topics and fostering an innovative environment for collaboration and networking.

The PNB Research Group funding line allows national and international scientists to dedicate four years entirely to their proposed research projects, with the necessary financial framework to hire scientific staff essential for project success.

Additionally, fellows will have access to professional development training and coaching to enhance their individual and professional skills.
