Project Overview

The Helmholtz Centre Potsdam is seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team in the field of induced seismicity. As a key member of our research group, you will contribute to the development and optimization of hybrid artificial intelligence systems for monitoring induced seismicity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new strategies for global sensitivity analysis using physics-based machine learning methods
  • Integrate hierarchical surrogate models into traffic light systems for monitoring induced seismicity
  • Further develop the code basis
  • Presentation of results on conferences and publication in peer-reviewed journals

Requirements

  • PhD degree in mathematics, computer science, or geophysics, or related subjects
  • Experience in the field of induced seismicity, mathematics, or computer science
  • Programming skills in Python/C++ and experience in machine learning
  • Good English language skills
