**Your Responsibilities**

The Contract & Claim Manager will support the project in formulating contracts and creating official business letters related to the contract. They will process supplements, overruns, and other claims from contractors with the aim of defending against them or minimizing their impact.

The tasks of the Contract & Claim Manager include:

  • Organizational and operational management of contract and claim management
  • Collaboration in the design of inquiries and tenders, as well as the review of offers and contract documents with regard to project and supplier-specific claim strategies
  • Supporting the commercial project manager in drawing up contracts and drafting contracts with contractors in projects
  • Accompanying the execution of contracts, including ensuring contract and addendum management and supporting contract-related risk management
  • Analyzing performance deviations and their impact on the construction process, as well as presenting the time and financial consequences (target/actual comparison)
  • Advising the commercial project manager and the project teams with regard to contractual issues and claim potentials, as well as providing support in defending against claims and initiating the necessary organizational measures
  • Support in the management of contract-related correspondence and the pursuit of registered claims
  • Participation in contract discussions and supplementary negotiations
  • Defining and ensuring a standardized processing system for supplements and claims, as well as developing and implementing contract-relevant and suitable key performance indicators (KPIs) to optimize contract processing management
  • Analyzing and transferring experience between individual projects (lessons learned)

**Your Profile**

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Succesfully completed studies in an economics/business administration or technical field, e.g. economics, civil engineering, or (business) law
  • Additional technical training would be an advantage
  • Several years of sound professional experience in national and international project business, ideally in energy plant construction
  • Sound knowledge of contract law in service and work contract law, construction contract law, and VOB/HOAI/BGB/FIDIC
  • Technical understanding in combination with a commercial focus, rounded off by sound knowledge of contract law and claim management
  • Very good IT skills, in particular MS Office and ideally SAP skills
  • Ability to work in a team (interdisciplinary), perseverance, resilience, and flexibility
  • Hands-on mentality and willingness to take on responsibility with a strong customer focus (internal & external)
  • Strong strategic and conceptual way of working
  • Very good communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Confident and serious demeanor, as well as negotiation skills in an intercultural environment
  • Willingness to travel (Germany & abroad)
  • Temporary on-site deployment at our project locations and on our project construction sites
  • Business fluent in German and English, written and spoken
