Your Responsibilities

  • Support the project team in formulating contracts and creating official business letters related to the contract.
  • Process supplements, overruns, and other claims from contractors to defend against them or minimize their impact.
  • Manage contract and claim management, including organizational and operational responsibilities.
  • Collaborate in the design of inquiries and tenders, as well as review offers and contract documents for project and supplier-specific claim strategies.
  • Support the commercial project manager in drafting contracts and negotiating with contractors.
  • Analyze performance deviations and their impact on the construction process, presenting time and financial consequences.
  • Advise the commercial project manager and project teams on contractual issues and claim potentials, providing support in defending against claims and initiating organizational measures.
  • Manage contract-related correspondence and pursue registered claims.
  • Participate in contract discussions and supplementary negotiations.
  • Develop and implement a standardized processing system for supplements and claims, as well as contract-relevant key performance indicators (KPIs) to optimize contract processing management.
  • Analyze and transfer experience between individual projects (lessons learned).

Your Profile

  • Completed studies in economics, business administration, or a technical field, such as economics, civil engineering, or law.
  • Additional technical training is an advantage.
  • Several years of professional experience in national and international project business, ideally in energy plant construction.
  • Sound knowledge of contract law in service and work contract law, construction contract law, and VOB/HOAI/BGB/FIDIC.
  • Technical understanding combined with a commercial focus, rounded off by sound knowledge of contract law and claim management.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in MS Office and ideally SAP.
  • Ability to work in a team, perseverance, resilience, and flexibility.
  • Hands-on mentality and willingness to take on responsibility with a strong customer focus.
  • Strong strategic and conceptual way of working.
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Confident and serious demeanor, as well as negotiation skills in an intercultural environment.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and abroad.
  • Temporary on-site deployment at project locations and construction sites.
  • Business fluent in German and English, written and spoken.
