About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Employee Relations Consultant to join our team in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. As a key member of our Global Human Resources & Corporate Citizenship organization, you will play a critical role in supporting the effective management of internal and external Employee Relations (ER) matters and ER related risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert support and advice to business divisions and corporate functions throughout Germany, Switzerland and Austria on ER matters.
- Identify, research and resolve complex employee relations issues in partnership with HRBPs, managers and employees.
- Facilitate employee relations investigations (performance, sickness absence management, conduct, grievance, anti-harassment) and provide support and advice to investigating and hearing managers.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders on employee relations and conduct matters, including legal, risk, compliance, etc.
- Manage worker council bodies in Germany in close collaboration with the HR Country Head.
- Provide a country view and guidance on local requirements with regards to global projects, initiatives and policies.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest ER practices and developments, understanding changes in legislation and implementing them as needed.
- Contribute to global, regional and country-based GHR and/or business-related projects and initiatives.
Requirements
- Ability to think systemically and consult strategically with all levels of managers and leaders.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, local law and regulations in Germany, including co-determination.
- Demonstrated success in collaborating and negotiating with worker council bodies.
- Experience in working within global organizations and matrix structures.
- Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English.
