As our next Business Development Manager for Logistics, you will engage proactively and help us advance to the next level. We are looking for a team member who thrives in a dynamic, innovative, and motivated environment at our headquarters.
Your Responsibilities- Negotiate, implement, and oversee agreements with both existing and prospective suppliers and partners to align with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Direct the tendering process for innovative logistics solutions, from the preparation of tender documents to the assessment of proposals.
- Manage the logistics operations administration system, ensuring precise and efficient handling of information and processes.
- Contribute to achieving profit and loss targets by managing and reporting expenses.
- Collaborate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, becoming an authority in your areas of responsibility.
- Lead various cross-functional initiatives powered by data insights with the aim of exceeding expectations.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency, minimize costs, and elevate service quality within the logistics network.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in automotive logistics, freight forwarding, finished vehicle logistics, or transportation.
- A strong drive to advance projects, taking full ownership and demonstrating leadership that motivates colleagues to pursue opportunities vigorously.
- Capability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously to meet urgent deadlines while adhering to budget constraints.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to distill complex quantitative data into understandable formats.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities to engage with external partners and manage relationships independently.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of German, Spanish, Italian, or Portuguese is advantageous.
- Familiarity with the industry and an existing network of contacts within automotive logistics is a plus.
