Service Business Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Business Manager to join our team at Instron. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for driving the growth and profitability of our service business in Germany.
Key Responsibilities- Team Management: Lead and manage a high-performing team of service professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure they meet their business objectives.
- Key Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with our key accounts, understanding their needs and requirements, and identifying opportunities to grow our service business.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, developing and executing strategies to penetrate competitor accounts and recover previous customers.
- Financial Management: Manage the IPS Germany P&L, ensuring the achievement of service revenue and margin targets in line with our long-range plan.
- Customer Satisfaction: Provide timely response and support to our customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
- Qualifications: Degree-level or equivalent qualification in Engineering, and full clean German driving license.
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, managing teams driven by objectives and financial targets, with a successful track record of selling profitable and sustainable service products.
- Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and balance competing stakeholder needs.
- Travel: Up to 60% travel will be required for this role, with a variety of office and factory environments.
- Work Environment: Limited physical discomfort due to temperature, noise, dust, etc.
